Ashoka University username and password are key to accessing a wide range of resources on campus. For faculty and staff, these resources include sensitive information such as user personal information, Academic details, and Attendance. Users are advised not to share their password with anyone, for any reason. Ashoka Information Technology uses a robust array of sophisticated security tools to protect University information.
- Password Policy
The most important email ID maintenance task is choosing and maintaining a strong password. The password must adhere to the following rules:
-
- Password length of at least 11 characters
- Password must contain at least alphabet and numeric characters
- Password should also contain at least one special character (#, $, @, etc.)
- The user account will get locked if 4 unsuccessful passwords are attempted
- Students, faculty, and staff are required to change their University Computing Account password at least every 90 days.
-
- Multi-Factor Authentication for email
We recommend using two-factor authentication provided by Google which adds another layer of security to email accounts.
Setting up two-factor authentication on Google account
