Ashoka University has collaborated with Google and Microsoft 365 to provide cloud services to Faculty, staff, and students, brief details are as follows;
Google G Suite is a cloud-based suite of productivity and collaboration tools. It brings together popular Google apps, such as Drive, Classroom, Meet, Calendar, and Docs, into a single integrated workspace. Along with single sign-on service and Multi-Factor authentication provide an increased level of protection and security for stored data. With cloud storage, users can store, access, edit, comment, and share files in real-time, from any device–including a smartphone.
Calendar – Time and schedule management tool.
Classroom – Classroom management and assessment services designed for educators.
Drive – Cloud storage for saving and sharing files.
Docs – Word processing tool that is part of the Drive suite of apps.
Google Meet – Virtual meetings for sharing videos and presentations with teams.
Microsoft Office suite of web applications (word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.) via their Microsoft 365 subscription. These applications are available for download and installation for the Ashokan community. Major services offer through Microsoft 365 are as follows;
OneDrive – OneDrive for Business is a cloud storage solution where users can store, share, and sync files. Users can access OneDrive from a computer, smartphone, or tablet using a web browser or application.
SharePoint – SharePoint is a place to store, organize, share, and access information from any device.
MS Teams – Teams is an online communication platform.
